News and notes from around the conference between May 31st – June 6th

The recruiting dead period is, well, dead. So some schools saw plenty of recruits come on campus for in person visits, which hasn’t happened in over a year. Below we have some news about a few recruits, sprinkled with some transfer news as well.

Also, a couple schools have new ADs in place, and one school showed off their new digs.

So let’s get to it.

Indiana: The Hoosiers have offered 2024 QB CJ Carr, who is in pursuit by others in the conference.

Maryland: On Friday, the Terrapins unveiled Jones-Hill House, Maryland’s new home for the football program.

Michigan State: Saeed Khalif has been hired away from Wisconsin to become the Spartan’s new director of player personnel.

Wisconsin: The Badgers have hired Chris McIntosh as their new AD.

Iowa: 3-star offensive lineman, Jack Dotzler, has committed to the Iowa 2022 class.

Ohio State: Ticket schedule for the 2021 football season was released last week.

Minnesota: Under P.J. Fleck, the Golden Gophers are succeeding off the field too with recording a record high in cumulative team GPA.

Rutgers: Indiana high school recruit and 3-star defensive lineman, D.J. Allen, has committed to the 2022 class.

Nebraska: Tyreke Johnson, the former 5-star defensive back from Ohio State, visited the Cornhuskers last week.

Northwestern: The new AD at NU will be Derrick Gragg after Mike Polisky resigned from the role last month.

Purdue: Former head coach, Leon Burtnett, passed away at age 78.

Illinois: The state of Illinois is assisting with the NIL movement sweeping across the college landscape.

Michigan: The Wolverines are after former Alabama running back Keilan Robinson as a transfer target.

Penn State: Nittany Lion commit and 4-star QB, Drew Allar, is headed to the Elite-11 finals.
