Another week means another round of news and notes concerning the Big Ten conference. We have transfer news for a few schools, the unfortunate passing of an admired coach at another, and some preseason hype news. We also have a school who is dealing with a masseuse who graduated from the Deshaun Watson school of massage therapy.

So without further delay, let’s get into the headlines.

Michigan: The Wolverines have hired Steve Clinkscale as defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator.

Ohio State: An Ohio masseuse attempted to exploit OSU players over a three year period where she offered services for inappropriate favors.

Purdue: Former defensive tackle Lorenzo Neal has signed with the New Orleans Saints.

Nebraska: The Huskers have offered graduate transfer and former Tulsa defensive back Akayleb Evans.

Michigan State: Tight End Powers Warren, son of the Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, has transferred to the Spartans.

Iowa: Jerry Burns, who was head coach of the Hawkeyes from 1961 – 1965, passed away.

Rutgers: QB recruit and class of 2022 commit, Gavin Wimsatt, has been invited to the Elite 11 finals.

Penn State: Ten new players are joining the Nittany Lions roster post spring activities.

Maryland: A few players on the roster are being recognized by some preseason watch lists.

Indiana: Could the Hoosiers land their first 5-star player? (Update, they did.)

Northwestern: Mike Polisky resigned as AD after just four days on the job due to controversy concerning a lawsuit.

Wisconsin: The Badgers are in the running for transfer running back Chez Mellusi.

Illinois: Some pundits feel RB Chase Brown has the potential to breakout in 2021.

Minnesota: Controversy is brewing about practice intensity under P.J Fleck.
